Frequently asked questions
Dog Walking
How long do your group dog walking sessions last?
Typically our dog walkers are out and about for around 60 minutes, so including collection and drop-off, most dogs can be out of the house for up to 90 minutes.
What happens if it rains?
Dog walking goes ahead, rain or shine! The only occasion where the weather will affect our walks is if it becomes unsafe to drive due to snow, ice, or flooding, for example. In severe summer heat, walks can be affected when temperatures reach over 22 degrees. In these circumstances the safety of your dog always comes first; please visit our severe weather section in your contract for more details.
How many dogs do you walk at any one time?
Each dog walker is insured to take out a maximum of six dogs on my group walks. The dogs on each walk are matched up according to size and energy levels, and a lot of consideration is taken to ensure the safest and most balanced environment is achieved on each and every walk.
My dog isn't always very sociable and can be very nervous around other dogs. Do you think they would suit group dog walks?
For dogs that are nervous or have limited socialisation experience, we offer one-to-one sessions before they join our group walks. These sessions allow us to build trust, help your dog feel at ease, and introduce gentle boundaries through positive reinforcement techniques. This approach encourages appropriate behaviour that will support them when interacting with other dogs. Once they are ready, we introduce them gradually to small groups, giving them the time and space they need to settle in comfortably.

Can I choose what time you collect my dog(s) for their walk?
Our group dog walking services in Minehead and Wellington typically run three times daily between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, making them suitable for most shift patterns. We can arrange walks outside these hours as well, as long as you let us know in advance. While we do our best to collect dogs at the requested time, please note that collection times are approximate and may vary due to factors such as weather or traffic.
Do you offer group or solo walks in Minehead?
Yes, we offer both group and solo dog walks in Minehead to suit your dog's needs and personality. Our services also extend to the surrounding areas, including Dunster, Carhampton, and Blue Anchor.
What areas around Wellington do you cover?
Our dog walking services in Wellington cater to residents in surrounding areas such as Langford Budville, West Buckland, Rockwell Green, Milverton, and Sampford Arundel. We may also be able to extend our services to other locations, so feel free to reach out and see if we can help.
Are you insured to walk my dog?
All of our dog walkers are fully insured, and details can be provided on request.
Pet Sitting
I've not used a dog sitter before; how does it work?
It all starts with a free meet and greet in your home so that we can get to know each other. We will then discuss the typical routine of your dogs and how I can incorporate that into my stay with them. The meet and greet is also a perfect opportunity for you to answer any questions that you may have face-to-face. Following the meet and greet, you will receive a contract via email to help us share important information about your dogs, and finally we will join you on a walk in your local area to see the dogs in action and answer any final questions before our stay.
How long will my dog(s) be left alone for during the day?
The dogs are always exercised each day before they are left alone for typically between 4 and 6 hours. This will be discussed and agreed upon at the meet and greet and is likely to be as similar as possible to their normal daily routine.
How often will my dog(s) be walked?
A 24-hour pet sit typically includes a 60-minute dog walk; any extra walks can be arranged subject to an extra fee.
What happens on the day that we return?
Before you return home, the dogs will have been walked and the house left as it was found. We will also be available should, for example, your flights be delayed.
Do you offer a home boarding service?
Unfortunately, we do not offer home boarding; however, we can recommend our friends over at Broad Oaks Dog Retreat. At Broad Oaks, they offer a home-from-home bespoke dog boarding service at the foot of the Quantock Hills. So if you'd like to give your dog a little holiday of their own while you are away, then visit them now for more details at Broad Oaks Dog Retreat.
Pet Care
Do you offer a drop-in service during the day, and if so, what would this include?
Whether you’re away for the day, tied up at work, or simply need an extra hand, our drop-in service is here to help. From caring for your cats and feeding your rabbit to keeping your puppy entertained, we provide tailored visits to suit your pet’s needs.
Each drop-in can include whatever care is required — from litter tray cleaning, feeding, and fresh water changes to toilet breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention. It’s an ideal option for busy schedules, holidays, or when welcoming a new pet into your home.
Our aim is simple: to give your pets comfort and companionship while giving you peace of mind that they’re happy, safe, and cared for.
